The Founder

Growing up in Rome in a creative family, it was very easy for Alessandra to fall in love with the beauty of arts, from music to cinema.

At age 16, Alessandra started crafting clothes for her friends’ birthday parties. Two years later, she moved to Paris to learn the art of dressmaking and started her 10-years fashion career between London, Paris and Stockholm at brands such as Chanel, Balmain, Maison Margiela, Acne Studios. During these years, she made clothes for Pharrell Williams, Cate Blanchett, Beyoncé and many more : she then realized that having her own atelier and giving life to her own vision was her dream. After moving back to her hometown Rome during the Covid era, she founded Tangoli, a sustainable made-to-order brand which celebrates life and cherishes femininity.

Now back in Paris, Alessandra returns with a wealth of experience and a renewed passion for fashion. With Tangoli, she aims to redefine luxury by intertwining sustainability, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance. 

Why Tangoli?

‘Tangoli’ comes from the surname given to my grandmothers in Southern Italy, bridal seamstresses and weavers with a passion for life and independence.

We want to celebrate their talent and legacy by creating long lasting dreams translated into unique pieces.
